I am originally from Ostrolenka, Poland and came to Chicago when I was 6 years old. My wonderful grandmother was the first to come to the country and many years later she was able to get us a Visa to come to the States. I owe to her many of my successes as well as my mother who left her home country in pursuit of better opportunities for my two brothers and me. I was the first in my family to graduate with a college degree. I majored in Biological Sciences and minored in psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago where I continued my education and earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. During my dental education, I was lucky enough to be mentored by a special needs specialist who introduced me to hospital dentistry where I provided treatment under general anesthesia for children and adults with special needs. I volunteered with Easter Seals program which transported dental providers to special needs facility. There, I provided dental examinations and cleanings on children as well as educating them and their caregivers on oral hygiene. This was a very emotionally rewarding experience.
During my clinical years in dental school, I attended a 6-week rotation in Commerce City, Colorado where I worked in a Federally Qualified Health Center focusing on dental needs of migrant workers that could not afford dental care. This program opened my eyes to the need in the underserved communities. I was also a volunteer for two years at Goldie's Place where I cared for the dental needs of homeless and medically compromised patients. This was one of my most cherished experiences, because I was able to give a beautiful and healthy smile to patients that were on their journey to improving their state of living.
I am an auntie to my two wonderful and talented nieces and I spend quality time with them as much as possible. I enjoy traveling with my family and taking road trips. I have two brothers and a cousin that I enjoy hiking through National parks with. As much as I enjoy nature, I do love Chicago and what it has to offer. I love walking around the lake when the weather is nice and checking out new hole in the walls around the city.

Dr. Kim, a distinguished professional in the field of dentistry, hails from the vibrant city of Daejeon and was raised in the bustling metropolis of Seoul, South Korea. In 2007, his family relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where Dr. Kim continued his academic journey.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Creighton University, and later, he achieved his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the prestigious University of Illinois at Chicago.
With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Kim initially served as a general dentist in private practice, where he provided all aspects of dental treatment. His dedication to advancing his expertise and desire to maintain the health of natural teeth led him back to the UIC College of Dentistry, where he obtained a Specialty Certificate in Endodontics and a Master’s in Oral Sciences. His residency research, which focused on the impact of anti-resorptive and anti-angiogenesis medication on the outcomes of non-surgical root canal treatment, garnered significant recognition, earning him a place among the top ten highest-scoring endodontic post-graduate resident presenters in oral research.
Dr. Kim is a respected member of several esteemed professional organizations, including the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, and the Chicago Dental Society. He is currently board eligible and diligently working towards achieving board certification to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Kim enjoys an array of interests such as hiking, traveling, and exploring diverse culinary experiences. He cherishes time spent with his wife and their beloved Scottish Fold cat, Bopon. Dr. Roger Nouneh, DMD MS

Dr. Nouneh obtained his dental degree from Boston University in 1997. He then continued to receive his specialty training in Periodontics at Georgia Health Science University, College of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia. During his three years at MCG, Dr. Nouneh studied the attachment of bone cells to dental implant surfaces and obtained his Master’s Degree in Oral Biology. His published work can be found on the joionline.org website.
Dr. Nouneh is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is currently an active member of several national and international organizations including:

- Illinois Society of Periodontists

Dr. Nouneh enjoys contributing part of his time to teaching and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry. He also serves on staff at Evanston Hospital, Northshore University Healthsystem, working with the dental residents at the General Dental Residency program.
