Dr. Krystyna
Wagenhejm-Ciesielski, DDS
General Dentist
Dr. Wagenhejm was born in Białystok, Poland, where she graduated from the College of Dentistry at the Medical University of Białystok. A year later, she moved to Chicago with the intention of practicing dentistry there. In 1997, she graduated from Northwestern University by completing the Doctor of Dental Surgery program and began working with patients at various private practices, pursuing her passion for dentistry.
In 2004, Dr. Wagenhejm founded OmDent – Center For Dental Health. She was one of the first dentists in the Chicago area who implemented digital radiography equipment, Biolase laser system, and Cerec CAD/CAM equipment in her practice. She believed that the newest technologies would make dental services more effective and less invasive… and she was right.
In addition to her technical skills, Dr. Wagenhejm is dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment where patients feel at ease. She values building strong relationships with her patients.

Dr. John Kim, DMD MS
Endodontist
Dr. Kim, a distinguished professional in the field of dentistry, hails from the vibrant city of Daejeon and was raised in the bustling metropolis of Seoul, South Korea. In 2007, his family relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where Dr. Kim continued his academic journey.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Creighton University, and later, he achieved his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the prestigious University of Illinois at Chicago.
With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Kim initially served as a general dentist in private practice, where he provided all aspects of dental treatment. His dedication to advancing his expertise and desire to maintain the health of natural teeth led him back to the UIC College of Dentistry, where he obtained a Specialty Certificate in Endodontics and a Master’s in Oral Sciences. His residency research, which focused on the impact of anti-resorptive and anti-angiogenesis medication on the outcomes of non-surgical root canal treatment, garnered significant recognition, earning him a place among the top ten highest-scoring endodontic post-graduate resident presenters in oral research.
Dr. Kim is a respected member of several esteemed professional organizations, including the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, and the Chicago Dental Society. He is currently board eligible and diligently working towards achieving board certification to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Kim enjoys an array of interests such as hiking, traveling, and exploring diverse culinary experiences. He cherishes time spent with his wife and their beloved Scottish Fold cat, Bopon. Dr. Kim is always enthusiastic about receiving restaurant recommendations, reflecting his passion for gastronomic adventures.

Dr. Roger Nouneh, DMD MS
Periodontist

Dr. Nouneh obtained his dental degree from Boston University in 1997. He then continued to receive his specialty training in Periodontics at Georgia Health Science University, College of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia. During his three years at MCG, Dr. Nouneh studied the attachment of bone cells to dental implant surfaces and obtained his Master’s Degree in Oral Biology. His published work can be found on the joionline.org website.

Dr. Nouneh is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is currently an active member of several national and international organizations including:

  • American Academy of Periodontology
  • Academy of Osseointegration
  • American Dental Association
  • Illinois Society of Periodontists
  • Midwest Society of Periodontology

Dr. Nouneh enjoys contributing part of his time to teaching and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry. He also serves on staff at Evanston Hospital, Northshore University Healthsystem, working with the dental residents at the General Dental Residency program.

Joanna Kacprzycki, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Joanna Kacprzycki is a skilled dental hygienist (RDH) at OmDent, bringing her expertise and passion for oral health to the team since joining the practice. With a strong educational background in dental hygiene, Joanna understands the vital role that preventive care plays in maintaining healthy smiles.
In her role, she is responsible for performing comprehensive dental cleanings, educating patients about proper oral hygiene practices, and helping to detect early signs of dental issues. Her approach is patient-centered; she takes the time to listen to her patients' concerns and ensures they feel comfortable during their visits.
